A Lovely Shifting, Twitching

A contemporary visual parable of mental weakness and fortitude.

“A Lovely Shifting, Twitching” is a scored improvisation that immerses the body in abstract, disjointed, staccato imagery and sound, thereby evoking the mental itch to check and check again as if chasing one’s own tail, the trance state of attention on the glowing screen, and the mesmerization of the hyper-present crowd.

20 minutes. The score draws heavily on Kadet and Holly Herndon‘s lovely sounds.
